Principal's Message

Principal's Message: Building Our Educational Community Together

Dear Fox Valley Stakeholders,

It's with tremendous excitement and humility that I return to our community as your new school administrator. Six years ago, I left these halls, and this year I return as Administrator, committed to relationship building and fostering an educational environment that reflects the unique strengths of our rural setting while implementing research-based practices.

Rural schools are special. We have advantages that big city schools would be jealous of. The connections between families, teachers, and community members run deep here. When a student needs extra help or encouragement, we can wrap around them in ways that just aren't possible in larger schools. Rurality is not a deficit; it is about having more of what truly matters.

One of my goals is to strengthen the partnership between school, community, and home. Research shows there are six key ways stakeholders can be involved in education: supporting learning at home, staying connected through communication, volunteering when possible, having a voice in school decisions, and working together with community groups. I want to create more opportunities for families to become engaged and feel comfortable doing so.

I also know that every stakeholder brings something valuable to our school community. Whether it's farming knowledge, small business experience, raising a family, military service, or simply the wisdom that comes from working hard and caring deeply about this community. These attributes are not just nice extras; they're educational resources that can be utilized to make our school richer.

For our staff – both returning and new – I'm committed to providing support that actually fits your reality. I know you wear many hats, and we'll work together, learn from each other, and support each other to accomplish great things.

I invite each of you to join me in this important work. Together, I'm confident we can create an educational environment where every student experiences academic growth and personal success, where families feel genuinely welcomed and valued as partners, and where our community's core values are reflected in our daily work.

I have ambitious goals for our school, but I understand that meaningful progress requires collective effort and shared commitment. I'm eager to begin this collaborative journey with all of you. Let's build something amazing!

Sincerely,

Troy Glass
